These are all beautiful posters. I think that the first four are the best. I like the one with the crown of thorns and the type in the background, it's very strong. I also like the second one with the picture inside the logo.
I want to steal the one with thorns. It does make the church feel like a church and not a social club. Having events on the posters is a good idea, so incorporated the dates with the thorns one.
I think that the first four are the best as well. the imagery in all of them are very strong and the type adds significantly to each one. Out of them I feel that the red logo on the angle is the best.
Nick, great ideas! 2,4,8 & 9 are my favs. The picture inside the logo can be brought up more. I also like the bracelet idea and the rub-ix cube, these will attract kids. These are all nice and clean and the type arrangements are all working well.
4 and 9 are the best in my opinion. Using the crown of thorns in 4 is a very powerful message. I do think it could convey some information though, just a snippet about the church or something like that.
The idea for 9 seems genius. The rubix cube kinda works, to me a plus sign and a cross are two different things but I can definitely see that slogan stretch across different posters.
I love the color of the last one. I also really like the one with the Rubix cube. I do kind of see a plus sign at first, but it doesn't take long to figure it out (ha ha, Rubix cube? nevermind...).
The logo you are working with reminds me a little of a fancy paper clip. BUT that might just be me.
I'm also going to agree that the one with the crown of thorns is really powerful.
Nick I really like your 3rd and 4th posters, typographically the 3rd one is strong and the 4th has a very strong visual message I also like your color choice in both of these.
Don't do the cube poster, if you do, arrange the stickers in a way in which there aren't two green sides.
I really like the crown-of-thorns image, but I don't think it fits into the message of that particular poster. I think it would fit more into a "rebellious" felt poster.
Might want to keep working on the logo, I don't think I would "get it" at a first glance. Maybe it's too closed in together or something, I don't know.
My favorite is the top right. Just work on the logo a bit.
I think 4,8 and 9 are my favorites. I do think that if you want people to come to the church though that it is important to put the service times one there. I like the fourth one because the imagery is so striking and it definitely captures your attention immediately. I also really like the acronym that you used in number 8 and then repeated it using the bracelet so that people can see what it stands for. My favorite overall though is definitely the rubix cube. It is so playful and such a recognizable object to so many people that it definitely captures your attention.
i stopped and stared at the colored cubed for a second. I was thinking "what does that have to do with anything?" and then I saw the cross in it! Then my reaction was "oh that is such a good idea". needless to say. That is one of the ones that caught my attention. A really good idea! Other than that one, I really like the 4th one as well. It is a bit more serious than the other one. Not that the other one doesn't have a seriousness to it, but the colored cube (im forgetting what those things are called) makes it a bit more playful.

The crown appeals to me the most. Its clean, gives the message and evokes emotion.
ReplyDeleteHaving the events listed makes the poster have limited usage, might be better to use events that do not change, mass times, etc.
The rubrics cube is a clever idea that will draw attention and attract people to the poster that might otherwise not be interested.
